Abstract

The following conclusion was obtained from the results of the experiment with selected grid whose density is 103 lines/inch among EWHA grids.
1. Bucky factors were from 4.85 to 6.90 with grids from 8 : 1 to 12 : 1 at 70kVp.
At all level the Bucy factor showed a decrease with increase of kVp.
On comparison with Japanese MS grid, the Bucky factor of EWHA showed lower values which means EWHA grid is between than MS grid.
2. The selecting ability showed increase with grid ratio from 4.65 to 8.23 at 70kVp and showed the same trend at 100kVp and 125kVp. These values are lower than the valnes from MS grid.
3. Although contrast showed generally increase with increase of grid ratio from 2.52 to 2.96 at 70 kVp, it showed some variations at 100kVp and 125kVp.
That means that MS grid in generally between than EWHA grid.
